Eric “LeriQ” Isaac Utere is a Nigerian born music producer, studio engineer and recording artist. Popularly known for his production skillset, LeriQ has curated an eclectic sound that fuses African rhythm and the pulse of electronic dance.
The highly sought after producer began his musical journey at age 14, and by 2010, it turned professional after signing a deal with Aristokrat Records.
As their leading in-house producer, LeriQ worked with Burna boy producing hits like “abeg abeg abeg”, “wombo lombo”, “tonight”, “run my race”, and “pree me”.
His efforts have earned him a Headies nominations for producer of the year for “Like to party” by Burna boy, and RnB song of the year with “Say you love me” featuring Wizkid. More interestingly, “say you love me” is only his second vocal performance that has been released. The first ever being “Sweetest girl” a love ballad featuring Burna Boy.
His decision to explore his vocal ability is a gift his fans will forever be grateful for. In a world where DIY is the only way to go, LeriQ is in a lane of his own.
