Haqq is a Nigerian Afro pop singer, songwriter and music producer. Born Sadiq Abdulhaq Anako in the beautiful city of Okene, Kogi State fondly called Oakland. At age 10, Haqq started his musical odyssey surrounded by his brothers, friends and relatives who were always listening to songs from various international artistes from 2Pac, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Michael Jackson, to name a few. Haqq started as a dancer and rapper, he used to perform under the name Mr Hizo. In 2009, Haqq founded ‘OkCity Boyz’ with two of his friends. They recorded their first single titled ‘Hey’ which gave them major recognition in their home town Okene. The group disbanded later in 2011 as Haqq decided to pursue school and further other ventures. During this time, Haqq took his music and music production to a higher level. His first single ‘You Fine’ was released in 2013 and it received rave views. He released two more singles ‘Mama Lekale’ and ""Follow me go there"" and all three tracks were produced by HaQQ. In 2014, Haqq gained admission into the Federal University of Technology Minna which made him take a little break from music to concentrate on school and understand the musical terrain of Minna. Although, the young artist didn’t stop recording at the time, in 2016, Haqq came back to release a new song titled ‘Dab’, which put him on the spotlight and increased his fan base in the city of Minna. Haqq who is currently signed to BigMo records will be dropping his official single very soon and working on an EP for the coming year. Haqq is definitely here to take the Nigerian Music Industry with a bang.
